Lighting Up Learning Across Africa
SHINE Foundation Nigeria removes learning barriers across six pillars—Learning for All, Educational Equity, Wellbeing, Family & Community, Educator Support, and Advocacy & Research—so children and young people can learn and thrive in Nigeria and across Africa. We deliver accessible, inclusive, holistic education by tackling the practical obstacles that keep learners out of school—from costs and the language of instruction to unequal opportunity—so pupils and students can learn with comfort, confidence, and pride. Founded by Adeyemi Awomodu, whose own journey through financial hardship and language barriers has shaped our work, SHINE is rooted in Lagos and operates across Nigeria today, while building partnerships and evidence to scale responsibly across Africa.
